Shell are responsible for providing 21% of Nigeria's electricity supply. Oil in the delta has generated $30bn, as-well has generating 6,000 jobs, 90% of whom are Nigerian. On the smaller scale, Shell have also given $161m to the Niger Delta Development Organisation as well as providing 27 health facilities in the delta.
